Haifa North

The country's northern coast, anchored by Haifa's Bat Galim reef and extending south to Caesarea-Habonim and north to the Galilee. Home to Israel's heaviest waves: Bat Galim and Backdoor (Haifa) are slabby reefs that work on bigger NW/W storms, while Caesarea Reef breaks over Roman-era stonework. Habonim and Dor offer the cleanest beach breaks in the country. Less crowded than Tel Aviv but more swell-dependent — the wraps reaching Haifa need bigger storms to fire.
