1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the WeWave application ('Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
WeWave provides surf condition forecasts, weather data, and AI-powered recommendations for surf spots worldwide. The Service includes free and paid subscription tiers with varying levels of access. Available regions and features may vary by country.
3. Forecast Disclaimer
All forecasts, scores, ratings, and AI-generated recommendations provided by WeWave are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do NOT constitute safety advice. Surf conditions can change rapidly and may differ from forecasts. WeWave does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any forecast data. Users are solely responsible for assessing actual conditions and their own ability before entering the water. Surfing is an inherently dangerous activity — always exercise your own judgment and consult local lifeguards or experienced surfers when in doubt.
4. AI Chat Disclaimer
The WeWave AI chat assistant provides responses based on available forecast data and general surf knowledge. AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies. Do not rely solely on AI recommendations for safety-critical decisions. The AI does not replace professional instruction, local knowledge, or personal judgment.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each account is for personal use only. Accounts are limited to 3 simultaneously active devices. Sharing paid account access with others is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
6. User-Submitted Content
By submitting spot reports or other content, you grant WeWave a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service. You must not submit false, misleading, or harmful content.
7. Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions provide extended forecast access as described on the pricing page. Prices vary by region (Japan, Indonesia, Other). Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated unless required by applicable law. WeWave reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.
8. Data Sources
Weather and forecast data is provided by Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Additional data processing, AI predictions, and surf condition scoring are performed by WeWave.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeWave and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data. This includes damages arising from reliance on forecast data, AI recommendations, or any information provided through the Service.
10. Termination
WeWave may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
12. Changes to Terms
WeWave may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
