West Side Maui

Maui's west-facing coast from Honolua Bay south to Olowalu and Ukumehame. Best on NW groundswell wrapping the island's NW corner Nov–Mar; cleaner and less windy than the North Shore once swell drops. Honolua Bay is the flagship right-hand point — long, walling and crowded. Launiupoko, Olowalu and Ukumehame's Thousand Peaks are the area's beginner/intermediate reefs.
