North Shore Maui

Trade-side coast from Waiehu and Kahului east through Kanaha, Pa'ia and Hookipa out to Pe'ahi (Jaws) and Honomanu on the road to Hana. Best in winter when NW groundswell delivers right reefs at Hookipa Pavilions, outside Lanes, and at 15ft+ the outer slab at Jaws lights up; cross-side trades pick up after 11am making early starts mandatory. Pa'ia Bay, Baldwin and Kanaha are the everyday beach/reef options.
