Oaxaca

Oaxaca is home to the Mexican Pipeline. Puerto Escondido's Playa Zicatela is one of the heaviest beach breaks on the planet, throwing dredging closeouts during southern hemisphere groundswells from April to October. La Punta provides the mellower companion left-hand point. South of Puerto, Salina Cruz hides a string of long, perfect left-hand points (Punta Conejo, Bocabarra, La Bamba) accessible mostly by boat or 4WD.
