Cape Fear Coast

The southern NC surf scene runs from Topsail Island down through Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and out to Fort Fisher. Warmer water than OBX (boardshorts May–Oct) and more summer wind-driven surf, with hurricane swell delivering the biggest days. Wrightsville's Crystal Pier and Carolina Beach Pier are the anchors.
