Korea's second city sits on the south-east coast, opening to the East Sea and (further west) the South Sea. Songjeong is the flagship summer surf spot, working on E/SE typhoon swell and S pulses from the South Sea; Haeundae and Gwangalli pick up on bigger days. Water is warmer than the East Coast — boardshort-friendly in summer, 3/2mm spring/fall, 4/3mm winter.
