Northernmost OBX, where the barrier island narrows to wide quiet beach. Duck Pier is the FRF (Field Research Facility) — a government wave-measurement pier and a consistent beach break around it. Corolla north of Duck offers wide open beach for low crowds on a hurricane pulse.
