Hilton Head Island

South-facing barrier island near the SC/GA border. Surf is mellow and intermittent — swell wraps in from passing tropical systems and the rare clean E pulse. South Beach inside Sea Pines and Coligny Beach in the center are the most consistent learner spots; Burkes Beach on the east end picks up slightly more swell.
